How the “ralf” service (hereinafter the Service) processes users’ personal data and photographs.

This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the original edition in Russian at /policy.html prevails.

1. What data we collect

Your e-mail address and, when you sign in with Google, the name and address of the Google account that Google passes on at sign-in.
The photographs you upload to create the characters of the cartoon, and everything you write about them and about the story: names, the occasion, wishes, corrections.
Audio files (a song, a voice message), if you upload them.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, service logs, and the identifier of your sign-in (localStorage) needed for the cabinet to work.
Payment data: the payment number, amount, status and card mask passed on by the payment system. The Service does not receive or store full bank card details.

2. Photographs and images of people

Photographs are processed only in order to create the result you ordered: the character reference, the frames and the cartoon. A description of appearance is extracted from the photograph; automated image and video generation systems, including third-party ones, are used for this.
By uploading a photograph, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that all people depicted in it (or their legal representatives, if they are children) consent to the creation of an animated image based on it.
The Service does not create a database of biometric data and does not use photographs to recognise people outside your order, to train models, or for advertising.
The result (references, frames, cartoon) belongs to you from the moment of payment. The Service may store it in your cabinet for repeat orders and corrections.

In plain words: photos and responsibility

ralf is a technical platform: your photographs and text are passed to generation technologies, and the result is returned to you. We do not check who is in the photo or whether you have the right to use it. By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have such a right and that the people in the photo consent. Everything you upload, order and later do with the finished video is your responsibility. For details see the Terms of Service, sections 4, 5, 6 and 10.

3. What the data is used for

To sign you in to the cabinet and to create the result you ordered.
To contact you about your order, payment and support: the e-mail with the sign-in code, the payment receipt, messages in the cabinet.
To protect against abuse, to account for usage, and to improve the Service.
Promotional e-mails are sent only with your separate consent and contain an unsubscribe link.

4. Who the data is shared with

The WayForPay payment system — to accept payment (payment number, amount, your e-mail for the receipt).
Image, video, speech and music generation services — photographs, the script text and scene descriptions, to the extent necessary to create the result.
Google — when you sign in with Google, under Google’s rules.
E-mail and hosting providers — to send e-mails and operate the servers.
Government authorities — only in cases expressly provided for by the legislation of Ukraine.

5. Retention periods

Photographs and order materials are stored for as long as your cabinet exists, so that you can return to your characters and order a new cartoon. At your request, the order and the photographs are deleted within 30 days.
Payment data is stored for the periods established by accounting legislation.
Sign-in codes are deleted after use or after 10 minutes.

6. Your rights

To find out what data about you is stored, and to correct or delete it, unless this contradicts the law or the obligations under an order that has already been fulfilled.
To withdraw your consent to the processing of photographs: after that, the creation of new materials based on them stops, while the result already created remains with you.
To do so, write to the support address given below from the e-mail address the cabinet is registered to.

7. Security

The cabinet is accessible only with a code from an e-mail, through Google, or with a personal access key. The connection to the Service is protected by encryption (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored as hashes. Only the owner of the Service and the contractors working on your order have access to order data.

8. Children

The cabinet is created by a user who has reached the age of majority. Photographs of children are uploaded, and consent to their processing is given, by a parent or legal representative.

9. Changes to the policy

When the policy changes, the new edition is published on this page with its date. Material changes will require renewed consent at your next sign-in.
